Maxwell

 The very first thing that stood out to me when reading the Maxwell section was “There is NO COOKBOOK”, I instantly thought about our pizza research. After reading more of the article it’s definitely true I have done research before but I never heard of Purposeful sampling. But I have definitely used it not knowing that it was actually a thing Patton had been using. I think a lot of us use purposeful, probability and convenience without even knowing. It was good to look at more of them samplings though. Another big thin that stuck out and had me thinking was negotiating a research relationship. Many people use people they know or that are easily accessible for data, I have on facebook or with my friends but I never thought the relationship could be changeable. This had me thinking a lot like what if I had a research I was very set on no doubts very passionate and I asked friends family and random people. Would my thoughts change if I found out answers from people i value love and look up too? Made me think that i should chose who i pick carefully but then does that change my research project if I can’t get answers from honest people i trust?! Do you pick no matter what? Do you go in with an open mind? Does it really change your thoughts about a person? Agh.i have all these questions now!!

This was rather interesting watching the three videos over and over again trying to grasp the concept of what’s being said and to apply it to the any question that i picked. So hear a shot in the dark with my understanding. If i had to pick i would say that I’m closer to a constructive thinker. There are reasons why things happen. There are different ways of thinking based off culture and upbringing. So for this i would apply my question why do certain states want to take out black history from schools? Well the south states are the main states that want to take out black history. 👀 My whys  What’s taking Rhode Island so long to approve free breakfast and lunch for K-12? Why doesn’t RIC have more diversity in Sororities or Frats? Why do certain words have letters that you can’t hear in them? What happened to all the love we had from 9/11? How are we going to get these children to be social? Why is the education system so flawed? Why does certain states want to take out black history from learning? Why are we not teaching children reality things? Ie farming finances… How do we get back to how things were? When are the leaders and congress going to change? Why can we remember song lyrics but not what we read? Why do we think how we think? RI behavior

 So I decided to read the ri behavioral health article. I can’t say that one specific thing stuck out for me because the whole article did. Let me start off with yes there are a lot of challenges that we have faced during the pandemic. I think that it woke up the world, let start with relationships between parents that never really spent time together so that became domestic mentally emotionally and sometimes physically. Let’s go into parents don’t really know there children and spending all day with school work and their own work became stressful. The world lost itself along time ago it became not affordable to live so parents spent more time at work than at home with family. We don’t exactly have a village that helps raise our kids but tv and whatever is available. We need things to be more affordable. We need more time spent at home with family.
